The following links are excellent resources for researching real estate throughout the state of Montana. These are all sites that I and many other agents use to find the necessary info to help our clients. I'm sure they will be useful for you as well.

Common Real Estate Terms - CMA? Escrow? There are a lot of new terms to learn in Real Estate. This guide will help clear things up.

Property Information

• Montana Cadastral - An easy search tool for public property records. Owners, addresses, tax assessments, etc. can all be found here. This site is not mobile friendly though.
  • You can search by county + owner name, geo code, tax assessment number, certificate of survey, property address, and subdivision. 
• For searching on a smartphone, I recommend downloading the hunting app - OnX.

RAVALLI COUNTY INFORMATION

• Ravalli County Clerk & Recorder's Office - find everything about liens, deeds, mortgages, marriage, birth, death certificates, homestead declarations, etc. 
• County Maintained Roads - Need info on whether or not  a particular road is county maintained? 
• Surveyor's Grab Bag - This site will provide you with any survey info for a given property.
• Address Assignment/Road Name Petition - Did you buy bare land and need an address? Want to petition a street to be renamed? Follow this link for the required documents.
